June is getting steamy!

Alexia and Madame LeFoux are bringing the heat to this month’s cover of YEN PLUS, and it’s only getting hotter inside! The kids from the flock have found a way to cool down as they head for the Antarctic, but somehow trouble seems to find those kids no matter where they go… Nick is weathering the humidity down in New Orleans, but with a killer out for his head, things are probably gonna get a lot worse before they get better. And speaking of getting better, it seems like Lord Maccon has finally emerged from his formaldehyde-fueled bender. Maybe he can even find a way to make amends with the lovely Alexia…

We’ve got all of this, chapter 24 of SOUL EATER NOT! and much, much more inside this month’s issue. Not a bad way to kick off a long, hot summer at all!

New DARK-HUNTERS, New YEN PLUS!

As you can see from this cool new cover art, The Dark-Hunters: Infinity is back (with color pages!) as Nick discovers that Mr. Hunter is just one of the people in his new life who isn’t quite what he seems…
Also be sure to check out the second chapter of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children as Jacob closes in on the mystery of his grandfather’s childhood. If you subscribe to this month’s issue, you’ll still be able to catch the first chapter from last month, so be sure to check it out!

Soul Eater Not! is taking a break this month, but Highschool of the Dead fans should be excited to hear that Yen has partnered with Kadokawa to simultaneouly release the new chapter of HOTD!

Highschool of the Dead, Act. 30 now available!

Yesterday marked a milestone in the Yen offices with the publication of HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD, ACT. 30, the latest chapter in Daisuke Sato and Shouji Sato’s zombie extravaganza. It was our first simultaneous e-book release of a chapter of Japanese content! (Yes, with the time difference with Japan it might not have been truly “simultaneous,” but since it was the same day, we’re not splitting hairs.)

There are definitely some things we can make a bit more seamless, but on a whole, we’re thrilled with how the whole thing came together and want to thank everyone who’s already lent their support to the creators, to Kadokawa, and to us. Making more content available to fans like this is a key initiative for Yen Press, and if you’re a fan of manga who wants the material faster and more accessibly in English, there really is no more positive impact you can make than by purchasing the official releases.

The chapter is currently available through the following e-tailers, and we hope you’ll check it out! In the meantime, we’ll be working diligently behind the scenes in an effort to bring you more manga this way soon. Stay tuned!

Sakura-Con Schedule: 2013

Yen Press is headed to Seattle, WA this weekend for Sakura-Con! Visit us at booth #226/228 to meet the staff and pick up some awesome free stuff including these magnets from BTOOOM!

There are five different magnets in total and you’ll want to collect them all. We’ll also have buttons at the booth for Dark-Hunters, Another, and Are You Alice? and a special, secret item for our new series Doubt! You’ll have to swing by to find out what it is because I’m not telling.

I will tell you that there will be loads of fun to be had by all this weekend. Come by the booth and have your photo taken with some of your favorite Yen Press characters.

The Yen Press panel is on Saturday at 1:00 PM in room 4C-3. So take a midday break with the Yen Press crew for a Q&A, new series announcements, and of course more giveaways.

YEN PLUS takes a Peculiar turn…

This month we are thrilled to present the first chapter of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, adapted from Ransom Riggs’s bestselling novel. And if the cover art looks familiar (it should!), that’s because the talented Cassandra Jean, artist of the Beautiful Creatures manga, has done an outstanding job bringing Miss Peregrine to life! The story follows sixteen-year-old Jacob, who journeys to Wales after a terrible tragedy, searching for the children’s home where his grandfather spent his youth. Be sure to check out this eerie, atmospheric tale in this month’s Yen Plus!
This month is also a big month for Yen Plus books in stores! The first volume of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s The Dark-Hunters: Infinity and the third volume of Witch & Wizard: The Manga are on shelves this month, so go check them out and add them to your own collection!

It’s another chapter of Short-Short Shorts, this time featuring Akane and Clay! It’s still a mystery what those two boys are up to…and Clay’s convoluted explanations aren’t helping clear things up…

Max and the flock know how to make the most of a good snow day, and we at Yen Press are happy to give you one more way to relax and enjoy this December—kicking back with the latest Yen Plus!
